Sustainability
We are passionate about saving the planet and have been making changes to ensure we minimise our impact on the environment. We have a long way to go to reach our goals but we are already taking steps. You can follow our journey to sustainability here.
CARBON OFFSETTING
We are proud members of Carbon Trap, a non profit organisation who plant elephant grass here in the UK. This elephant grass captures and stores carbon in the grass and soil helping us offset some of our carbon footprint. Along with elephant grass, wildflowers are planted amongst the crops on our behalf to help promote biodiversity and we also received a packet to plant at home! Our membership also includes a contribution to using this grass in projects to develop sustainable products such as textiles, concrete and packaging. Want to become a member of Carbon Trap yourself? Visit carbontrap.org.
WOOL BALLS
We use natural wool balls in our driers which helps to reduce the drying time and in turn reducing emissions. These balls also help to make bedding and clothes soft and fluffy!
SINGLE USE PLASTIC
We are working to cut out single use plastic. We had previously been wrapping clean linen in plastic and realised this was not sustainable for our planet. We now use a recyclable paper for any linen that requires wrapping.
SMOL
We are proud partners of smol. We use smol laundry capsules on all our domestic washing. smol laundry capsules have been tested against industry standards and perform better than or equal to the leading brands. They arrive in 100% plastic free packaging which is also 100% recyclable and contain lower levels of chemicals than other capsule brands. Better yet, they are 100% cruelty free and never tested on animals! These are a perfect fit for our laundry, if you think they could be a perfect fit for your home, visit smol-products.ilwyv3.net/yzqxB to order!
